Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry | Manitowoc, WI
Don't just support the process. Improve it.
You know the sound of a machine that isn't running quite right.
You know when the feed rate is wrong.
When the tooling isn't right.
When the work holding could be better.
When a quality problem isn't really a "quality problem"—it's a process problem.
And you probably can't help yourself from trying to figure out WHY.
That's who we're looking for.
Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry is looking for a Machining Process Engineer to join our engineering team and help solve real-world machining challenges across our operation.
This isn't an engineering job where you'll spend your days behind a desk updating spreadsheets.
You'll be on the floor. You'll work with machinists, engineers, suppliers and leadership. You'll troubleshoot. You'll optimize. You'll quote. You'll build better processes.
You have:
Even better?
You've machined castings before.
You understand that the answer isn't always in the textbook.
Sometimes you have to go to the machine, talk to the machinist, look at the part, understand the material, look at the tooling, and figure it out.
You're joining a company that has been solving casting challenges since 1909.
WAF combines foundry, engineering, tooling, machining and quality capabilities under one organization.
You'll work alongside people who design and manufacture complex aluminum, bronze and brass castings for industries including automotive, agriculture, marine, transportation, medical and more.
And you're not walking into a stagnant operation.
WAF is constantly evolving its capabilities, processes and equipment—and we want engineers who want to evolve with us.
