Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience operating machinery or working with metal preferred.

Responsibilities

JOB FUNCTION: To perform all kinds of machining using CNC and manual equipment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Receives instructions, prints, and work orders for the job. Loads tools and fixtures as required for the job.
• Runs the jobs as specified by work-order or supervisor.
• De-burrs and cleans parts if necessary, before/after machining.
• Inspects as trained or specified by work-order.
• Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

May be assigned to do tapping, c-sinking, machine setup or any other task as specified by a supervisor or management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Completion of on-the-job training on all operating equipment as specified by supervisor.
• Training and testing on inspection equipment specified by supervisor or management.
• Attention and care required to prevent injury to self and others when performing tasks.
• Work may involve some heavy lifting and bending. Must wear personal protection equipment as specified in the employee handbook.
• Accident hazard can involve severe cuts and bruises. Exposed to moderate burns and exposed to flying objects, such as chips and scale.
