Job summary

Astemo Rock Spring, Inc. seeks a Machining Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance and reliability of our machining equipment.

You will report to the Maintenance Supervisor and ensure smooth operation of the machining processes, minimizing downtime and maintaining optimal performance. You will perform routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues with engineers, document activities, and collaborate with production teams to coordinate changes, ensuring safety and compliance

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in equipment maintenance or a related field within a machining environment.
• Familiarity with maintenance practices and troubleshooting techniques.
• Ability to follow instructions, work in a fast-paced environment, and adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance activities on machining equipment following schedules and procedures.
• Conduct inspections, cleaning, lubrication, and calibration to extend machine life.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues with engineers and implement effective solutions.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify malfunctions and perform repairs.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and lockout/tagout protocols.
• Complete maintenance documentation including work orders and repair logs.
• Coordinate equipment setup and changeovers with production teams.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to optimize performance.
• Stay updated on new technologies and best practices in machining maintenance.
