Job summary

Chromalloy Carson City is seeking a skilled CNC Operator to set up, program, and operate CNC and conventional machines producing precision aerospace components. This hands-on role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and meeting tight tolerances in a manufacturing environment.

Your shift is 3rd Shift, Monday–Friday, 10:00 PM–6:30 AM, with a $2–$4 per hour differential and a $1,000 sign-on bonus. This position contributes directly to aviation safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of CNC machining experience preferred.
• Ability to set up and operate CNC machinery.
• Experience reading blueprints and technical drawings.

Shift Information

Shift: 3rd Shift | Monday-Friday | 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM

(Days and hours may fluctuate based on business needs, which may include weekends.)

Shift Differential: $2-$4 per hour, depending on assigned workdays

Sign-On Bonus: $1,000

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Set up, program, and operate CNC and conventional machines
• Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and specifications
• Set up tooling, fixtures, and materials for production runs
• Inspect parts using precision measuring tools to ensure quality standards are met
• Make basic program edits and part adjustments as needed
• Maintain production, quality, safety, and 5S standards
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and additional production activities as needed

What We’re Looking For:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of CNC machining experience preferred
• Ability to set up and operate CNC machining equipment
• Experience reading blueprints and technical drawings
• Proficiency using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools
• Understanding of machining tolerances and basic shop math
• Strong attention to detail, quality, and safety
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to pass job‑related skills testing
