Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and eligible to enroll as a student with San Diego City College.
• Diploma or GED or equivalent as listed in Minimum Qualifications.
• Completion of 15 units of college courses from an accredited college with grades.

Responsibilities

• Learn to safely work on machinery and equipment in an industrial environment.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and evaluate machine malfunctions; learn repairs, modifications and overhaul.
• Complete a four-year training program (8,000 hours) on-the-job with qualified Journeymen.
• Attend related Community College classes for at least five hours per week until program completion; time is unpaid.
