Job summary

Brenntag North America, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Operator to oversee performance and maintenance of large production machinery. The role involves preventive maintenance, cleaning, lubrication, part replacement, and fault diagnosis in a manufacturing setting.

The candidate will collaborate with managers and engineers on product changes and tests, document work, and maintain shop organization. Desired experience includes 10+ years in manufacturing and solid mechanical skills.

Qualifications

• Mechanically inclined with strong problem-solving ability.
• Able to work independently and with others.
• Good communication and attention to detail.
• At least some vocational experience in manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines.
• Cleans machines and parts, removing and reinstalling as needed.
• Oils and lubricates moving parts to ensure performance.
• Records damaged, worn, or broken parts and reports them.
• Orders and installs replacement parts for machines.
• Identifies causes of unexpected breakdowns and repairs promptly.
• Prepares reports documenting work performed.
• Maintains shop areas, stock, tools and supplies.
• Coordinates with managers to schedule regular maintenance.
• Collaborates with product manager or plant engineer on new products and modifications.
