Job Description:

This position is contingent upon contract award

The Machinery Maintenance Mechanic performs preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment and industrial systems, including pumps, compressors, gearboxes, conveyors, and production machinery. This role supports operations in a secure government facility and requires attention to detail, technical expertise, and troubleshooting skills under strict safety and security standards.

The responsibilities include:

1. Inspect, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment and systems to ensure reliable and efficient operation
2. Dismantle and reassemble machines and mechanical equipment for inspection and repair
3. Diagnose equipment malfunctions and determine appropriate corrective action
4. Perform precision alignment, balancing, and installation of mechanical systems
5. Use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
6. Read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and schematics
7. Complete preventive maintenance tasks and document all work performed
8. Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and supervisors to minimize downtime and optimize performance
9. Comply with safety and environmental guidelines
10. Perform other duties as assigned
