Job Description
Activities related to college teaching and learning, but not limited to the duties listed below:
Instructional planning, teaching, and learning.
Student recruitment, retention, and advising.
Lab/climate management.
Coordinate student and program-related activities.
Instructional facilitation.
Assessment of student performance.
Maintenance of professional skills and credentials.
Work closely with department to maintain and enhance curriculum and assess program outcomes.
Participation in department meetings, coordination activities, curriculum development, and college-wide committees.
Salary Range:
$43,067-94,542 (commensurate with education and experience)
Minimum Qualifications
Two-year diploma in machine tool technology/machinist.
Four full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience in machine setup, programming, troubleshooting and operation of both manual and CNC equipment.
One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.
Preferred Qualification
Knowledge of machining related software applications, such as Mastercam and SolidWorks.
Skills in manual machine operations.
Experience with CNC lathe setup, operation, and related tooling.
Experience in Plastic Injection Molding (Design and Build).
Experience with metal stamping and forming (Tool and Die, design and build).
Dedication to teaching and student learning providing quality education emphasizing college level standards.
Commitment to studying, analyzing, and implementing learning strategies that will help students reach their education goals.
Demonstrate familiarity with and commitment to the mission and constituencies of a comprehensive community and technical college.
Experience using teaching techniques that support diverse learning styles.
Excellent interpersonal and team building skills.
Knowledge and experience in the use of instructional technology course delivery.
