Job summary

Phillips Corporation seeks an Onsite Machine Tool Maintenance Specialist to own the assessment and preventative maintenance of a broad range of machine tools at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. You will ensure peak performance and safety while coordinating with customers and the Phillips team.

You’ll leverage deep mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, PLC knowledge, and reporting skills to deliver reliable equipment readiness.

Qualifications

• 8 years or more of machine tool and/or industrial maintenance experience.
• Experience with manual and CNC machines (lathes, mills, grinders, saws, presses) and metrology equipment.
• PLC/controls experience including ladder logic across Siemens Step 7, Allen-Bradley, and Heidenhain.
• US citizen is required.

• Owns assessment and preventative maintenance for a broad range of machine tools at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard.
• Provide elite technical oversight, training and support to customers, raising maintenance team performance.

As our Onsite Machine Tool Maintenance Specialist at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, you’ll take total ownership of the assessment and preventative maintenance process for a massive range of both new and vintage machine tool and production equipment. Compensation at Phillips is based on the market and your individual level of contribution. The expected pay range for a qualified person in this role is between $85,000.00 and $140,000.00 annually plus bonus opportunities. • 8 years or more of machine tool and/or industrial maintenance. Experience with manual and CNC machines, including lathes, mills, grinders, saws, press brakes and metrology equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills, including intermediate to advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electronic systems
• If offered the role, you will need to relocate to the Portsmouth, NH area. Company will provide assistance in relocating.
• PLC and controls system experience, including reading, troubleshooting and editing ladder logic in a variety of PLC's, including Siemens Step 7, Allen-Bradley, Rockwell-Collins and Heidenhain.
• Military background/experience or experience working in a regulated environment is a plus.
• Due to customer requirements, candidates must be a US citizen to be considered
