Litehouse Foods in Sandpoint, Idaho is hiring a Machine Tech I (Operator) to operate and optimize production machinery on a 6am–2:30pm Monday–Friday shift. Starting pay is $18.77/hr, with full-time benefits and growth opportunities within a 100% employee-owned company.

Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED, strong mechanical aptitude, and good communication skills to ensure safety and quality across production lines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is strongly preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and machine operation experience are valued.
• Good verbal and writing communication in the workplace.
• Ability to work well with others and stay organized.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality are required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and lead key machinery for efficient output of quality products.
• Set up, operate and adjust machinery as needed.
• Perform changeovers and washes to meet specifications.
• Adhere to Food Safety policies and report concerns to supervisor.
• Ensure products meet customer and quality requirements.
• Perform basic maintenance, controls, troubleshooting and housekeeping.

What You'll Do

• Operate and lead key machinery, striving for efficient output of quality products.
• Set up, operate and adjust machinery.

• Responsibility to adhere to Food Safety policies and report food safety and quality concerns to their supervisor.
• Ensure products produced meet customer and quality requirements.

• Maintains clean work area and participates in housekeep throughout the facility and grounds.

What You Bring

• High School Diploma/GED Strongly Preferred.
• Mechanically inclined preferred.
• Fully trained and experienced in the operation of one production machine as defined at each plant and/or equivalent work experience.
• Must have strong verbal and written communications skills with ability to express ideas professionally, effectively and efficiently in the common language.
• Ability to establish & maintain effective working relationships with all contacts inside and outside of the company with strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to multi-task, focus and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to frequently work overtime and weekends as necessary.
• Must be able to work scheduled shifts and meet attendance requirements.
