Caterpillar is seeking a Machine Software & Controls Test Engineer to support software and controls development at the Peoria Proving Ground in Washington, IL. You will design and execute on-machine tests for Medium Track-Type Tractor platforms, prioritize safety, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate complex systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer science, mechanical engineering or a related engineering discipline.

Responsibilities

Execute on-machine testing projects for current and next-generation Medium Track-Type Tractor and technology platforms.
Drive safety and quality in testing and develop test plans.
Collaborate with engineering, software and technology teams to document procedures and validate results.
Troubleshoot and validate complex electrical, electronic, and software systems.
Leverage data using tools like Excel, CANape and MS Office to derive actionable insights.
Collaborate with on-site engineers, technicians and operators to deliver projects on time and within budget.
