Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Alamo, TN is seeking a Machine Shop Saw Operator to join its manufacturing team. You will operate Behringer saws to cut bar stock, slugs, CT tubes and other materials, following drawings and quality procedures.

The role is 2nd shift, requiring accurate SAP-based transactions, material ordering, proper handling of materials with the overhead crane and forklift, and strict adherence to CCL guidelines at the saws. Previous Behringer saw experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associates degree or technical certification preferred.
• Experience operating Behringer saw or similar machines is required.
• Overhead crane experience (rigging and operation) is preferred.
• Basic working knowledge of computers and SAP is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate transactions in SAP in accordance with inventory accuracy procedures.
• Order material as needed using on site material management programs.
• Safe transport and storage of all raw materials in the machine shop, utilizing overhead crane and forklift.
• Follow strict adherence of CCL guidelines at the saws.
• Operate Behringer saw or similar machines to produce parts.
• Utilize overhead crane for rigging and material handling.
• Produce parts as detailed on drawings.
