Job summary

Laboratory Testing LLC in Hatfield, PA, is seeking a CNC Milling Technician III to operate and optimize milling equipment with a focus on precision and quality. The role requires G-code programming, blueprints reading, and the ability to program from scratch, with a Monday–Friday day shift in a first-shift hatfield location.

The ideal candidate has at least 4 years of CNC milling experience, hands-on experience with Haas VF-2 and VF-3, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 4 years CNC milling experience.
• Experience with Haas VF-2, Haas VF-3, and various measuring devices is a differentiator.
• Working knowledge of G-code programming.
• Ability to set-up and operate the mill with no supervision.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, create basic programs, select tooling, monitor milling process, and adjust machine settings.
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues and make proactive adjustments to prevent defects.
• Provide guidance and training to junior operators, ensuring safety and quality standards.
• Operate multiple machines during a shift.
• Perform preventive maintenance and ensure equipment calibration and proper functioning.
• Maintain shop cleanliness and support QA program adherence.

Salary Range: $25.00 To $33.00 Hourly

This is a first shift role, Monday-Friday, at our location in Hatfield, PA.

Responsibilities:

• Ability to read blueprints, create basic programs, select appropriate tooling and monitor the milling process and adjust machine settings as necessary.
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving: Diagnosing and resolving complex operational issues and makes proactive, real-time adjustments to compensate for variation and prevent defects.”
• Leadership and training: Provides guidance and training to junior operators, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards, and contributing to a positive work environment.
• Operates multiple machines during a normal workday.
• Maintenance and preventative measures: Ensures that the shop equipment and instruments are functioning properly and in calibration prior to performing any work.
• Informs the supervisor whenever any equipment is found to be out of calibration or in need of repair.
• Follows all applicable and required specifications and procedures, ensuring accuracy and compliance to machining requirements.
• Maintains traceability of materials and parts during operations.
• Monitors scheduled completion dates and times to ensure that established schedules are met. The supervisor must be notified sufficiently in advance whenever the schedule for a job might not be met.
• Inputs required data into computer software accurately and on a timely basis.
• Assists with maintaining shop equipment. This includes cleaning the equipment, performing preventive maintenance as scheduled, and performing repair maintenance as required.
  • Maintains assigned work area(s) in a clean, organized, and safe condition at all times.
  • Understands and complies with LTI’s QA Program at all times.
  • Seeks clarification when specifications or directions are unclear.
  • Complies with all company policies and procedures at all times.
  • Follows all safety rules and regulations at all times and utilizes personal protective equipment, as required.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the Machine Shop Supervisor or the Machine Shop Manager.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 4 years’ of CNC milling experience.
• Experience with Haas VF-2, Haas VF-3, and various measuring devices (verniers, micrometers, etc.) is a differentiator
• Working knowledge of G-code programming.
• Ability to set-up and operate the mill with no supervision.
• Good mechanical aptitude.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Ability to process work with accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to adjust settings (speeds/feeds, tool heights/diameters, etc.) in CNC programs.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to push, pull, lift and/or carry up to seventy-five (75) pounds.
