Job summary

Johnson Electric is seeking skilled Machine Shop Technicians to join our manufacturing team. You will set up, operate, and maintain CNC and manual machining equipment to produce high-quality precision components while meeting productivity, safety, and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years machining, CNC operation, or related manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Experience using precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other inspection tools.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC and manual machining equipment.
• Produce precision machined parts while adhering to quality and safety standards.
• Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
• Select and utilize appropriate tooling, fixtures, and machine parameters.
• Perform machining operations such as turning, milling, boring, threading, tapping, drilling, and facing.
• Calculate offsets and make machine adjustments as needed.
• Conduct in-process and final inspections using precision measuring instruments.
• Troubleshoot equipment, tooling, and process issues.
• Maintain accurate production and quality documentation.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the machine shop.
