Title

Machine Shop Technician

Position Summary

Supports production by setting up, designing, programming, and operating metal fabrication machinery to create custom products for higher-level assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Program or modify CNC machine programs based on engineering documents.
• Set up and operate drill, press brake, mill, and shear machines.
• Perform material marking, insert and heli-coil installations, and contribute to jig and fixture development.
• Use gauges and hand tools, verify parts to specifications, and apply GD&T knowledge.
• Select machinery for operations, maintain raw materials and supplies, and operate industrial trucks.
• Ensure quality, safety, and regulatory compliance, and assist in team training.
• Perform maintenance, maintain a safe environment, and support facility upkeep.
• Perform repetitive tasks with accuracy, demonstrate manual skills, and have mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Communicate effectively, meet KPIs, and support company values and mission.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Experience in machining and reading drawings with GD&T
• Teamwork, time management skills, and ability to obtain security clearance

Preferred Skills

• Associate degree or relevant experience, CMM certification, CAD/CAM, ERP, and MS Office skills.

Physical Requirements

• Lifting up to 40 lbs., walking, bending, standing, climbing, and travel up to 10%.
