Job summary

Timken's IMECH team in Houston seeks a manufacturing professional to contribute to high‑quality coatings and precision components. You will interpret engineering drawings, maintain safety standards, and ensure product quality through careful measurement and adherence to specifications.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, experience in manufacturing, and strong math/geometry skills. The role offers on-site work with training and clear advancement paths within a global technology

Qualifications

  • Interpret blueprint drawings for specifications.
  • Self-inspect work with measuring tools to ensure conformity to specs.
  • Participate in continuous process improvement.
  • Communicate quality issues to management.

What will you do? Your day to day success is determined by your ability to:

  • Maintain a safe working environment and promote health and safety awareness.
  • Ensure accuracy and efficiency before and throughout production.
  • Produce a quality product by following written and verbal instructions.
  • Interpret blueprint drawings for specifications.
  • Document discrepancies in materials and/or process.
  • Self-inspect work produced through the use of various measuring tools to ensure conformity to specifications.
  • Participate in continuous process improvement.
  • Maintain all work areas in a clean and orderly manner.
  • Communicate to management any quality issues and non-conformances.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

With Quality in mind, you also bring the following:

  • Minimum of High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience or training in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables.
  • Good math, geometry, and mechanical aptitude.
  • Precision and strong attention to detail.
  • Must understand and comply with all safety rules, ISO 9001, and company policies.
  • Passion in delivering accuracy and quality as a priority
