GEODynamics in Millsap, TX is seeking a Machine Shop Supervisor to lead day-to-day operations in our manufacturing facility.

You will guide CNC machining processes, supervise shop staff, ensure safety and quality, and drive productivity. The role requires 4–6 years in a machining environment and an associate's degree.

Qualifications

• Ability to positively motivate individuals and teams to meet or exceed project expectations.
• Ability to interface with personnel across all levels of the business.

Responsibilities

• Orient, train, assign, and coach shop staff; set job expectations and monitor performance.
• Meet production standards by improving productivity and quality; resolve issues.
• Observe process volumes and recommend adjustments to maintain output.
• Complete daily shift production reports to record output.
• Communicate production status, requirements, and problems across teams.
• Promote safe work practices per OSHA and GEO health and safety policies.

Key Accountabilities:

• Accomplishes machine shop employee objectives by orienting, training, assigning, and coaching employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions; adhering to policies and procedures.
• Meets operational standards by implementing production, productivity, quality, and resolving problems, identifying process improvements.
• Maintains product production by observing process volumes, recommending process adjustments.
• Records production by completing daily shift production reports.
• Maintains flow of operations by communicating production status, requirements, and problems.
• Leads the practices of safe work habits in accordance with OSHA and GEO-specific Health and Safety expectations.

Qualifications, Experience, Skills/Knowledge:

• Associate’s degree in industrial technology or related field or combination or education and experience.
• 4 - 6 years of experience in a manufacturing or machining environment.
• Some experience supervising people in production operations.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to safely perform related physical demands of the role:
• Bending, lifting, stooping, pushing, pulling
• Sitting for extended periods of time
• Repetitive motion - Hands/wrist/shoulder
• Ability to lift up-to 50 pounds (over 50 pounds requires a team lift).

Work Environment/Environmental Conditions:

• Occasional exposure to hazardous chemicals, fumes, and gases
• Ability to work in extreme temperatures
