Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing or machine shop experience is a plus.
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Load, unload, and move parts and materials in the Machine Shop.
  • Perform deburring, bending, grinding, polishing, and other finishing operations.
  • Operate production equipment and hand tools per work instructions and specs.
  • Inspect finished parts for tolerance and quality.
  • Read and follow production instructions and basic engineering docs.
  • Maintain accurate production records and keep area clean and safe.
  • Follow all safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Watteredge is looking for a dependable, motivated 2nd Shift Production Worker to join our Machine Shop team in Avon Lake, Ohio. This is a hands-on manufacturing position where you'll support daily production by loading and unloading parts, deburring, bending, finishing, and handling materials.

What You’ll Do
  • Load, unload, handle, and move parts and materials throughout the Machine Shop.
  • Perform deburring, bending, grinding, polishing, and other finishing operations.
  • Operate production equipment and hand tools according to work instructions, prints, and specifications.
  • Produce parts within established specifications and tolerances.
  • Read and follow production instructions, procedures, and basic engineering documentation.
  • Measure and inspect finished parts to ensure quality requirements are met.
  • Inspect equipment before use and perform routine adjustments as needed.
  • Maintain accurate production records.
  • Keep your work area clean, organized, and safe.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing or machine shop experience is a plus.
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
  • Good handeye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
