Job description

Machine Shop Material Handler - 2nd Shift

Join us as a Machine Shop Material Handler - 2nd Shift at MetalTek International.

Job Requirements:

• Safely remove metal chips, turnings, and solids from machines and place them in proper containers, ensuring containers are clean and materials are separated.
• Clean machines and surrounding areas to maintain safety and prevent material mixing.
• Transport materials to designated storage locations, including verifying, sorting, weighing, and moving metal chips, solids, and chip boxes following shop procedures.
• Operate a power forklift to transport materials, dies, parts, fixtures, and castings.
• Set up and operate an automatic cutoff saw, measure and record dimensions, and maintain saw output quality.
• Perform general labor and housekeeping duties.
• Maintain communication with machine operators and team members, and coordinate work priorities with supervisors.

Requirements:

• Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy loads.
• Availability for overtime on short notice.
