Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Alamo, Tennessee is seeking a Team Leader to organize and oversee the production team, ensuring schedules are met while maintaining safety and quality. Qualifications

• Lean manufacturing, waste elimination, problem-solving and 5S knowledge.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Able to read, write and perform basic math incl. algebra/geometries.
• Follow written, oral or diagram instructions.
• Experience with quality control gauges/equipment and SPC basics.
• Willing to work day and night shift; lead a production team.

Responsibilities

• Organizes & holds safety meetings and carries out safety activities.
• Coaches team on safety procedures and PPE use.
• Identifies and resolves safety issues; supports Behavior-Based Safety.
• Assists in drafting Safety & Prevention procedures.
• Ensures adherence to SOPs and analyzes quality issues with corrective actions.
• Implements continuous improvement through lean tools and 5S.
• Allocates shifts per production plan and tracks performance.
• Communicates issues to the next shift Team Leader and management.
• Develops and trains multi-skilled team members.
• Manages materials audits and tooling improvements.
• Leads 5S execution and standardization across the team.
• Drives continuous improvement plans and reporting.
