Job summary

Axis Pipe and Tube LLC is seeking a skilled machinist lead in Bryan, TX for full-time roles in a high‑production machine shop. You will lead daily activities, assign and prioritize work, and monitor team performance to meet quality and safety goals.

You will set up and operate CNC and manual equipment, read blueprints, and ensure parts meet tolerances. Training machinists and supporting preventive maintenance are also key parts of the role.

Qualifications

• Experience leading machine shop activities and coordinating teams.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement in machining processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily machine shop activities to meet production, quality, and safety goals.
• Assign work, prioritize jobs, and monitor team performance and productivity.
• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC and manual machining equipment as needed.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
• Ensure machined parts meet required dimensions, tolerances, and quality standards.
