Job summary

Super Vac is seeking an energetic, self-starting Machine Shop Assistant for our Command Light Division to support manual machining, measurement, drill presses and metal saws. You will learn machining techniques in a fast-paced, team environment.

Hours are 8:00am–4:30pm, Monday–Friday. Compensation is $18–$19 per hour DOE. Benefits include health, dental and vision, life insurance, 401k matching, tuition reimbursement, and paid holidays.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read a tape measure.
• Willingness to learn machining in a fast-paced team.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen, agility test and background check.

Responsibilities

• Manual machining tasks as required.
• Use of drill presses and metal-cutting saws.
• Operate measuring equipment and document results.
• Learn and retain machining knowledge through practice.

Command Light has helped emergency departments elevate their scene lighting for decades with an assortment of patented light towers and traffic advisors that help roadway responders illuminate nighttime scenes, keeping both the crew and our community safe.

We are looking for an energetic, self-starting Machine Shop Assistant for our Command Light Division.

Essential Functions:

• Manual machining
• Knowledge of measuring equipment
• Use of drill press
• Using saws to cut metal
• Learn and retain knowledge of machining
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Able to contribute in a fast-paced, team environment
• Ability to read a tape measure
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time, ability to bend and twist
• Must be able to climb ladders
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical agility test and criminal background check
