Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East in Columbia, IL is seeking experienced Machine Setup Operators. The role offers full-time evaluation hire with 10-hour shifts (Mon-Thu) and day/afternoon options. Pay starts at $17+ per hour (BOE). Primary duties include pre-production checks, forklift operation, drum labeling and filling, and using pumps/hoses to fill tanks. Safety is a priority.

Qualifications

• Experience with liquid fill by weight and/or volume is a plus.
• Ability to stand for a 10-hour shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must wear safety equipment (respirators, gloves, steel-toed boots, goggles).
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Pre-production checks: verify tank hookup, lot #, components, weights or volumes.
• Operate forklift to move product and materials.
• Label and fill drums accurately.
• Use pumps and hoses to fill tanks and tank trucks.
• Complete manufacturing paperwork and checklists.
• Initiate preventative actions and propose improvements.
• Verify setup, materials, in-process items and finished goods against standards.

Job Responsibilities:

• Pre-Production check to verify proper: tank hook-up, lot #, components, weights or volume, etc.


• Operate forklift to move product


• Label and fill drums


• Use a variety of pumps and hoses to fill tanks and tank trucks


• Correctly fill out manufacturing paperwork and checklists


• Required to initiate preventative actions and recommend solutions


• Verification of set-up, components, in-process materials, and finished goods versus established standards

Job Qualifications:

• Ability to stand for long periods of time to complete 10hour shift


• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
