Reports To: Director of Business Operations

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB

The CNC Operator is responsible for operating stone CNC machines, including sawjets and routers, to ensure accurate and efficient production in line with fabrication drawings and schedules.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Read and understand fabrication drawings to execute production tasks effectively.
  • Maintain an efficient, clean, and organized work area.
  • Set up CNC machines and run programs according to the predetermined schedule.
  • Follow all procedures established by management, including daily tool dressing and tool calibration.
  • Address quality issues immediately and communicate directly with the Operations Manager or Production Coordinator.
  • Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines as required.
  • Uphold Classic Rock’s Core Values in daily operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management to support the Company’s vision and mission.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine correspondence.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Basic understanding of geometry.

REASONING ABILITY

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to solve problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • Forklift Certification (renewed every three years, training provided by Classic Rock’s certified trainer).

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Regular physical activities include reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and handling materials.
  • Maximum weight to be lifted is less than 100 pounds.
  • No special vision requirements.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Indoors in a non-temperature-controlled environment.
  • The typical noise level ranges from loud to very loud.
  • Steel toe or rubber boots are required in the work area.
