Job summary

Sheridan is seeking a Machine Repair Technician to support production equipment and facility operations in Fort Ripley, MN. This 2nd shift role runs Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM with rotating on-call weekends (minimum 2 hours paid if called in). Pay starts at $23.00/hour, with an additional $1.00/hour shift differential.

• 2+ years of mechanical technician experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to understand Lock-Out-Tag-Out.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical breakdowns.
• Maintain, alter, rebuild and adjust equipment and facilities, including fabricating parts and assemblies.
• Follow up on recurring facility-oriented failures to find solutions.
• Attend to RTU air conditioners, filter changes, wash condensers, tighten belts.
• Maintain an inventory of supplies and materials for operation of the building and manufacturing.
• Wood working projects.

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For

• We are open to candidates from a variety of industrial maintenance environments, including manufacturing outside of print. Requirements include:
• High School diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of mechanical technician experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Understand Lock-Out-Tag-Out.
• Ability to thread pipe and solder copper pipes.
