Boeing Commercial Airplanes is excited to offer opportunities for a Machine Repair Mechanic to join our Equipment Services team in various locations across Washington State.

We are seeking skilled Machine Repair Mechanics to maintain and repair essential equipment, conduct preventive and predictive maintenance, and execute mechanical hardware upgrades. In addition, successful candidates will effectively communicate with customers, providing accurate and concise updates on repair progress, parts procurement, and estimated completion time. The role also involves troubleshooting and replacing faulty equipment, as well as assembling and rebuilding a wide range of plant machinery, including Numerically Controlled (NC) machines, robotics and end effectors, modular assembly equipment, precision‑built machines, material handling equipment, ground support equipment, stationary generator sets, and process equipment.

Position Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions on all types of factory machinery including Numerically Controlled (NC) and Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) machine tools, controllers, gearboxes, stationary generator sets, and machine accessories using various types of test equipment.
  • Develop maintenance procedures when documentation is not available and devise and make tools to facilitate work.
  • Obtain job assignments from data systems, from management or from engineers.
  • Interpret work orders, tie‑ins, technical manuals, machine operations and communicate with production employees to determine appropriate craft skills and repairs needed to return machines back to production readiness.
  • Obtain and analyze drawings, sketches, hydraulic schematics and specifications needed to perform preventive and predictive maintenance inspections.
Physical Demands and Potential Hazards
  • Perform physical tasks that include lifting weights ranging from 10‑15 lbs to 15‑35 lbs.
  • Engage in various movements such as reaching, handling, turning, twisting, lifting, lowering, climbing, balancing, bending, kneeling, crouching, and squatting.
  • Work in environments that may involve contact with metals, solvents, and coolants.
  • Operate in proximity to moving parts and tools, sharp cutters, and potential slipping hazards.
  • Adapt to varying noise levels and atmospheric conditions.
  • Utilize personal safety gear to protect face/eyes, hands/arms, and feet while performing job duties.
U.S. Export Control Compliance
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements (22 C.F.R. § 120.62), including holding a “U.S. Person” status (U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee).
Basic Qualifications
  • 3+ years’ experience as a CNC machine repair mechanic, manufacturing building systems mechanic, or general equipment repair mechanic.
  • Willing to work at heights up to 125 feet above ground level and pass Fall Protection Training.
  • Willing to work overtime based on business requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience testing and diagnosing hydraulic, pneumatic, electromechanical components, and test equipment.
  • Experience reading and interpreting drawings, specifications, material processes, schematics, and diagrams.
  • Ability to work around electromagnetic fields due to various types of production equipment.

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Total Rewards & Pay Transparency

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, including base pay and variable compensation opportunities.
