Job summary

AUTOKINITON is seeking a Machine Repair Maintenance Technician for the Elkton, Michigan team on 2nd & 3rd shifts. This full-time journeyman role reports to the Trades Supervisors and focuses on diagnosing and repairing automated equipment, wiring, and electrical components in a manufacturing setting.

The position offers an hourly rate of $34.86, with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k) match, plus 14 paid holidays.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Maintenance Tech card or 8 years of verifiable experience.
• Experience with robotic welding machines (Fanuc).
• Experience in steel, iron, aluminum manufacturing environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose malfunctioning machines and replace damaged wires and cables.
• Diagnose and replace faulty electrical components (relays, switches, motors, sensing devices).
• Test malfunctioning machinery and coordinate with other departments to diagnose issues.
• Dismantle machines to access problem areas.
• Inspect and measure parts for wear and misalignment.
• Remove and replace worn parts.

Shift and Pay:

Hourly rate is $34.86

Job Summary:

Diagnose malfunctioning machines such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtur es and r eplaces damaged or broken wires and cables

Diagnose and replaces faulty electrical components of machines such as relays, switches and motors and positions sensing devices

Tests malfunctioning machinery and discusses malfunction with other personnel from other affected departments including production, maintenance, and tool room to diagnose malfunction

Dismantle machines and equipment to gain access to problem areas

Inspect and measure parts to detect wear, misalignment or other problems

Removes and replaces worn or broken parts

Required experience:

Working with robotic welding machines (Fanuc)

Experience in a manufacturing environment working with steel, iron, aluminum, and other various metals

Maintenance Tech Journeyman card or 8 years of verifiable experience

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Proven written and verbal communication skills
