Job summary

MillerKnoll in Zeeland, MI seeks a 3rd shift Journeyman Machine Repair/Industrial Electrician to maintain production equipment and support plant operations.

You will read blueprints, install and repair machinery, and mentor apprentices, with potential Hazmat responsibilities. Must have MI Journeyman card; forklift or aerial license may be required. Overtime may be expected. $35–$44/hour.

Qualifications

  • Journeyman Machine Repair or Industrial Electrician required.
  • MI State Journeyman Card required.
  • Forklift, Aerial Platform, or other equipment operator licenses may be needed.
  • Proficiency reading blueprints, manuals, drawings and schematics.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime; Hazmat certification may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain production equipment and machinery in support of manufacturing operations.
  • Assist in machine/process design and improvements.
  • Support environmental and recycling efforts including hazardous materials handling.
  • Install, modify and rebuild plant machinery and equipment.
  • Mentor apprentices and co-workers as directed.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Production and Quality for changeovers and setup.
