Job summary

Qualifications

  • Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred.
  • Experience operating polishing, buffing, grinding, or finishing equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Operate polishing and buffing machines to finish metal products according to production specifications.
  • Inspect parts before, during, and after polishing to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Remove scratches, burrs, oxidation, and other surface defects from metal components.
  • Select and change polishing wheels, compounds, belts, and abrasives as required.
  • Monitor machine performance and make minor adjustments to maintain proper operation.
  • Handle materials carefully to prevent damage during the polishing process.
  • Maintain production records and complete required documentation.
  • Keep work area clean and organized following 5S and housekeeping standards.
  • Perform routine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance on polishing equipment.
  • Report equipment malfunctions, quality concerns, or safety hazards to the supervisor.
  • Follow all company safety policies, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
