Job summary

Parker Hannifin is seeking an motivated individual for entry-level manufacturing quality inspection roles at our facility. Responsibilities include auditing safety issues, following TPM schedules, reading blueprints, maintaining equipment, and using ERP systems to plan production.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, and be detail oriented with basic computer skills, capable of independent work, and committed to safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with industrial manufacturing or quality inspection experience.
  • Process oriented with analytical capacity and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel).
  • Detail oriented and able to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Familiarity with 8D corrective action and lean/problem solving training.

Responsibilities

  • Audit and check for safety issues and follow Equipment Safety Checklist.
  • Follow TPM schedule to properly care for and maintain machinery.
  • Read Blue Prints and Work Instructions to the specified dimensions.
  • Grease, oil and clean equipment daily.
  • Set up and troubleshoot equipment.
  • Load and run various machines and chuckers.
  • Check dimensions of parts during run with measuring instruments.
  • Use ERP system to look up parts and plan production.
  • Perform minor adjustments to machinery to meet specifications.
  • Locate setup bins and layout tools for preset up.
  • Get and dispose of material and scrap to and from work position.
  • Job on and off manufacturing order.
  • Audit 5S check lists regularly and support 5S and safe work practices.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience
  • High school diploma or GED, and one year of industrial manufacturing or quality inspection experience.
  • Process oriented with strong analytical capacity, and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and Lotus Notes).
  • Detail oriented.
  • Ability to prioritize work and coordinate multiple tasks.
  • Basic knowledge of statistical tools such as averages, standard deviations and run-charts.
  • Basic communication skills.
  • Must be able to function in an independent role.
  • Customer focused.
  • Must be a self-starter and willingness to accept ownership of tasks.
  • Safety focused, need to understand and follow safety procedures and take responsibility for own safety.
  • Highly motivated and dependable.
  • Ability to read and understand policies, procedures and processes.
  • Familiarity with corrective action – 8D process.
  • Familiarity with Plant 3 valve design, assembly, testing.
  • Familiarity of Lean and problem solving events, as well as Lean and Problem solving methodology training.
