GE Vernova is seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our team, responsible for operating winding machines to produce internal components for instrument transformers. The ideal candidate will have experience with machine operation, especially winding machines, and be proficient in using basic electrical testing tools such as multimeters to verify product quality.

Responsibilities
  • Act as the main point of contact for Production and Inventory for all CBR and ITR production lines.
  • Responsible for point of use (POU) material replenishment in coordination with Water Spiders and the Uncrating team for CBR and ITR components.
  • Manage production disturbances (eAndon) related to inventory and coordinate resolution promptly.
  • Collaborate with Kitting and material replenishment teams to meet daily production goals, including material transactions.
  • Print and organize Kitting Picklists in SAP for all kitted materials.
  • Receive incoming materials with 100% count accuracy, perform SAP Goods Receipt, and ensure correct putaway physically and in SAP.
  • Coordinate problem POs and delivery confirmations with the purchasing team.
  • Complete Material Request Forms as per demand requirements.
  • Address and resolve part issues from production.
  • Communicate work order changes to inventory personnel.
  • Participate in production meetings, end-of-shift meetings, and Genba walks as needed to align inventory with production needs.
  • Ensure all direct labor timesheets are completed accurately.
  • Train inventory team members on inventory processes.

  • High reliability and dependability.
  • Flexibility to work weekends as needed by the business.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience operating winding machines for electrical components or instrument transformers.
  • Knowledge of quality control processes and procedures.
  • Ability to troubleshoot machine issues and optimize production processes.
Education Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in machine operation is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a machine operator, especially with winding machines or similar equipment.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
  • Familiarity with electrical testing tools like multimeters.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in production tasks.
  • Mechanical aptitude for minor repairs and adjustments.
  • Good communication skills and team collaboration abilities.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and monitoring.
