Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated, a leading global manufacturer of electrical and utility solutions, is seeking a Wire EDM operator on 1st shift to produce high quality components.

You will read blueprints, inspect your work, adhere to lean practices, and participate in continuous improvement within a safe, clean work environment in Cromwell, CT.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
  • 6 months–1 year experience in Wire EDM.
  • Ability to read and write English and do basic math.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Must be able to lift 35 lbs regularly.

Responsibilities

  • Run Wire EDM on 1st shift to create high quality products.
  • Inspect own work using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and optical comparator.
  • Maintain quality and production standards.
  • Perform secondary operations as required.
  • Read and interpret blueprints.
  • Participate on continuous improvement teams and incorporate lean practices into daily activities.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
  • Willing to work overtime.
  • Other tasks as assigned by Supervisor.

  • Inspect own work using various inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and optical comparator.
  • Maintain quality and production standards.
  • Perform secondary operations as required.
  • Read and interpret blueprints.
  • Participate on continuous improvement teams and incorporate lean practices into daily activities.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
  • Willing to work overtime.
  • Other tasks as assigned by Supervisor.

What will help you thrive in this role?

High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience. At least 6 months-1 year experience required in Wire EDM. Ability to read and write English and do basic math. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Must be able to lift 35 lbs on a regular basis.
