Job description

Join to apply for the Machine Operator - Weekend Shift - ONeal Manufacturing Services role at O'Neal Steel.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Setting up and operating machines, including adjustments and replacement of tooling, guides, jigs, and fixtures.
  2. Operating equipment such as bevellers, saws, burners, laser cutters, shot blasters, robotic welders, or CNC machining centers.
  3. Supporting safety and quality programs by adhering to all rules and established processes.
  4. Performing other duties as assigned.

Shift Details: Weekend Shift: Friday, Saturday, Sunday 5:00 AM - 5:30 PM, every other Monday 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ability to operate forklifts and cranes.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Proficiency with hand tools and measuring tools.
  • Basic math skills including converting fractions to decimals and metric to English units.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work.
  • Proficiency in conversational English.

Physical Requirements:

  • Repetitive lifting of 20-50 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, sit, stand, twist, and stoop for long periods.
  • Walking 2-5 miles per shift.
  • Visual acuity of 20/30 with corrective lenses.
  • Manual dexterity for precise manipulation.

Environmental Conditions: Exposure to varying indoor and outdoor conditions, including noise, vibration, high temperatures, chemicals, fumes, dust, and oils.
