We are looking for an Onsite Machine Operator to add value to our team.

New D Shift Schedule: 4pm - 4am

WK 1 - work - Friday, Saturday, Sunday (Work 36 hrs., Paid 40hrs).

WK 2- work - Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday (Work 46 hours, Paid 40 plus 6 overtime hours)

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Must be able to perform all the duties of the rod loader.
  2. Adjust machine components to regulate speeds, pressures, and temperatures, and amounts, dimensions, and flow of materials or ingredients.
  3. Press control buttons to activate machinery and equipment.
  4. Examine, measure, and weigh materials or products to verify conformance to standards, using measuring devices such as templates, micrometers, or scales.
  5. Monitor machine operations and observe lights and gauges to detect malfunctions.
  6. Clear jams and remove defective or substandard materials or products.
  7. Notify supervisors when extruded filaments fail to meet standards.
  8. Record and maintain production data such as meter readings, and quantities, types, and dimensions of materials produced.
  9. Review work orders, specifications, or instructions to determine materials, ingredients, procedures, components, settings, and adjustments for extruding, forming, pressing, or compacting machines.
  10. Clean dies, arbors, compression chambers, and molds, using swabs, sponges, or air hoses.
  11. Synchronize speeds of sections of machines when producing products involving several steps or processes.
  12. Select and install machine components such as dies, molds, and cutters, according to specifications, using hand tools and measuring devices.
  13. Move materials, supplies, components, and finished products between storage and work areas, using work aids such as racks, hoists, and hand trucks.
  14. Responsible for new team member training as instructed by supervisor.
  15. Provide additional assistance to the SSW Management Team as requested.
  16. Learn other position such as Rod Loader/Scale Operator/Material Handler.

Position Supervised or Directed:

  • Responsible position requiring much self-supervision.
  • Under the direct supervision of Cell Lead Person and the Plant Floor Supervisor.
  • Subject to corrective measures given by Quality Control Staff.
  • Work activities in the workplace will be observed from time to time by members of top management.

Qualifications, Experience requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Six months or more of experience in manufacturing environment .

General requirements:

  • Availability to go to the division for designated shift schedule.
  • Detailed and hands-on oriented.

Working Conditions:

  • Manufacturing plant environment
  • Requires physical ability, which may include standing, lifting, carrying, reaching, and working in areas that are not climate controlled for long periods
  • Subjected to noise from machines which may require hearing protection
  • Subjected to metal particles and burrs as material and product passes through machines and to sparks from resistance welding necessitating the use of safety glasses for eye protection
