Job summary

West Fraser is seeking an entry-level Machine Operator Trainee to join our team in a fast-paced plant environment. You will start with foundational training and progressively qualify on various machine centers to support production across the facility.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED, the ability to work outdoors in all temperatures, and the physical stamina to perform tasks up to 50 pounds. Training is provided with a strong emphasis on safety and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• No direct experience required.
• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to work outdoors in all temperatures in loud environments.
• Physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe work areas, collect debris, and dispose of sawdust and lumber.
• Clean industrial equipment and workstations.
• Relieve production positions and operate various machinery.
• Progressively qualify on multiple machine centers to work across the facility.
• Support a safety-first culture by following mill policies.
