Base pay range

$16.64/hr - $21.61/hr

Job Details

• Department: Production
• Reports to: Manufacturing Manager
• Employment Status: Hourly Non-Exempt (12-Hour Rotating Shifts)
• Shifts: Days 5:50am – 6pm, Nights 5:50pm – 6am
• Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 / hr (Night Shift + 10% Shift Differential)

About Engineered Profiles

We are a mid-sized, privately owned company valuing professional growth and personal development. Engineered Profiles is seeking mechanically inclined individuals we can train to run Plastic Extrusion lines. Through completion of our training matrix and strong job performance, our most skilled extrusion operators can make up to $33 an hour. Starting pay is based on experience and assessed through a test by our process technicians.

Our shifts run on a two-week rotating schedule (two days on, two days off, with three-day weekends). We're a 24/7 environment. The Extrusion Operator is responsible for setting up the extrusion line, operating, tear down, quality checks, and production reporting.

Job Summary

To set-up and operate necessary equipment to produce a custom extruded profile that meets or exceeds customer expectations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Set-up equipment (dies, screws, downline equipment, etc.) for line production
• Start up machinery and make adjustments for high-quality extruded products
• Maintain safety and housekeeping standards
• Ensure quality of products through checks and data entry
• Manage packaging quality and materials
• Assist in training new trainees
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications, Education, and Experience

• High school diploma or GED required
• Manufacturing or technical experience desirable
• Ability to use measuring instruments and possess mechanical aptitude
• Basic knowledge of raw materials used in extrusion

Physical/Mental Demands

• Willingness to do more than asked to coordinate processes
• Handle multiple tasks and adapt to rapid changes
• Work while standing for long periods
• Lift and move heavy equipment (up to 70 lbs.)
• Work all shifts as needed
