Job summary

Insteel Industries is seeking a Machine Operator Support to join our manufacturing team, requiring strong mechanical and mathematical aptitude, safe work habits, and the ability to work in a collaborative environment.

You will inspect and assist in repairing machinery, document production data on tally sheets and computer systems, and follow PPE guidelines and safety procedures. A high school diploma or equivalent is required for employment in the U.S.

Position Snapshot

A Machine Operator Support is commonly expected to have mechanical and mathematical skills. To be successful in this role you will:

• Documents production information on tally sheets and makes basic production entries into the computer.
• Must understand basic mathematical principles and have knowledge of measurement processes such as length, diameter, weights, and counts.
• Assume the duties of other operators as required and assist in other areas of the facility as needed.

Requirements and Education

• High School diploma or equivalent; ability to complete simple forms and understand simple written instructions. Ability to perform simple arithmetic skills involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals.
