Job summary

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a Superfinisher Machine Operator for a client that restores anilox rolls for the printing industry. No experience is necessary; training will be provided to operate the Superfinisher/Polisher machine.

Shifts are Tuesday-Friday, 6:00am to 4:30pm, pay is $17.00 per hour, with full benefits after permanent hire and opportunities for cross-training and advancement in a clean, safe, and team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Manufacturing experience a plus but not necessary.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work overtime as required by the company.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Ability to read measuring devices such as tape measures and micrometers.
• Ability to read or learn to read blueprints.
• Have a strong ability to problem-solve and cross-train.

Responsibilities

• Use polishing stones to finish size and roughness on a lathe-like machine.
• Inspect anilox roll for taper, out of round, and blemishes to meet Harper quality.
• Conduct routine maintenance on equipment.
• Report maintenance or product issues to supervisor.
• Maintain a neat and orderly work area.
• Run machine efficiently.
• Load/unload product using overhead crane or by hand.
• Follow SOPs and SPI.
• Perform other duties as needed by supervisor/management.

Superfinisher job highlights:

Responsibilities of Superfinisher:

• Use a series of different polishing stones to achieve finish size and roughness using a lathe-like machine.
• Inspect anilox roll for taper, out of round, and blemishes to ensure product meets Harper quality standards.
• Conduct required routine maintenance on equipment.
• Report any maintenance or product issues to supervisor.
• Maintain neat and orderly work area.
• Run machine efficiently.
• Use overhead crane, or by hand, to load and unload product.
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures and Standard Practice Instructions.
• Other duties, when necessary, as specified by production supervisor/management.
