Job summary

Stellar Manufacturing is seeking a Machine Operator to setup, run, and maintain production equipment such as packaging, blending, filling, and labeling lines. You will verify materials, follow safety procedures, and document production activities to meet quality standards.

You will aim to become certified in at least two equipment categories within 24 months, while supporting continuous production and adherence to customer specs in a dynamic on-site environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred or equivalent.
• Experience in manufacturing, production, or machine operation preferred.
• Ability to read and follow work orders, instructions, and document activities.
• Basic math to calculate weights, measures, and quantities.
• Must obtain certification in at least two equipment categories within 24 months.
• Ability to stand, lift up to 50 lb, and work in hot or cold environments.

Responsibilities

• Operate production equipment according to work orders, safety procedures, and quality standards.
• Review work orders, verify material availability, and ensure equipment safeguards are in place before starting production.
• Monitor equipment performance, troubleshoot routine issues, make minor adjustments, and report malfunctions to supervisors.
• Perform blending, filling, packaging, labeling, and other production activities as assigned.
• Maintain a consistent supply of raw materials and components to support uninterrupted production.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet customer specifications, including size, weight, packaging, and labeling requirements.
• Complete production logs, quality checklists, downtime reports, and other required documentation.
• Maintain clean and organized equipment and work areas, including dust collection systems and surrounding production areas.
• Follow all safety procedures, chemical handling requirements, and PPE guidelines.
• Coordinate production line activities, assist with training new employees, and communicate operational concerns to supervisors.
• Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency, equipment performance, and product quality.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Overview

Operators are expected to become certified in at least two equipment categories within 24 months.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and related experience.
• Previous manufacturing, production, or machine operation experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, follow written and verbal instructions, and accurately document production activities.
• Basic math skills, including the ability to calculate weights, measurements, volumes, and quantities.
• Ability to operate production equipment and use basic hand tools.
• Ability to troubleshoot routine equipment issues and perform minor adjustments.
• Must obtain certification in at least two equipment categories within 24 months of becoming an operator.
• Ability to understand and follow chemical safety, equipment operation, and workplace labeling procedures.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, reach, climb, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in hot or cold manufacturing environments and wear required PPE, including a respirator when necessary.
