Job summary

RK Industries, LLC is seeking a Machine Operator 1, 2, or 3 to set up and operate production equipment in our Colorado facility. You will monitor quality, perform routine maintenance, read process sheets, and troubleshoot issues to keep production moving safely and efficiently.

This hands-on role requires reading blueprints when applicable, documenting production data, and collaborating with a team to hit daily goals. We offer a stable job in a growing steel and energy environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of industry experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read process sheets, cut lists, and tolerances.
• Intermediate math skills.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

What You Bring

Machine Operator 1

Machine Operator 2 - All Of The Above, Plus

• 5+ years of metal-processing experience


• Ability to perform minor equipment maintenance


• Intermediate math, including some geometry and trigonometry


• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints


• Knowledge of machine settings, adjustments, and maintenance procedures


• Ability to mentor Machine Operator 1 employees


• Cross-training on most machines


• Understanding of Lean and Continuous Improvement practices

Machine Operator 3 - All Of The Above, Plus

• 7+ years of metal-processing experience


• Ability to certify in multiple positions and processes


• Advanced blueprint reading, including ISO, European standards, and raw contract drawings


• Ability to create hand drafts and sketches


• Ability to lead small teams to meet project goals and timelines


• Ability to train employees on machinery


• Cross-training on all machines


• Understanding of intermediate Lean manufacturing and advanced Continuous Improvement initiatives


• Ability to program and set up CNC equipment

What The Work Requires

This is a hands-on industrial role. You'll regularly stand, walk, bend, reach, crouch, kneel, climb, and perform repetitive or physically demanding tasks. You must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs independently and work safely in environments that may be dusty, loud, hot, cold, outdoors, at heights, or in confined spaces.

Reliable transportation and consistent, punctual attendance during core business hours are required.
