Job summary

Falcon Industries, a Division of NOA BRANDS America, Inc., is seeking a detail-oriented Spot Welder to join our Somerset, NJ manufacturing team. You will set up and operate resistance welding equipment to assemble metal fixtures according to blueprints, performing quality checks and maintaining tools.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of manufacturing experience in resistance/spot welding.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and weld symbols.
  • Meet production quotas and deadlines.
  • Work autonomously with minimal supervision.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and PPE requirements.
  • Able to perform long shifts in a noisy industrial environment.
  • Capable of lifting up to 75 lbs occasionally and 25 lbs continuously.

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a detail-oriented Spot Welder to join our sheet metal manufacturing team. In this role, you will set up and operate resistance welding equipment to precisely assemble and fuse high-quality metal fixtures according to blueprints and layout guides. You will be responsible for aligning components using specialized jigs, performing visual and mechanical quality checks on completed weld joints, and maintaining equipment tips and electrodes to ensure safe, efficient, and high-volume production standards.

Essential duties and responsibilities:
  • Equipment Operation & Optimization: Set up, operate, and perform routine maintenance on spot welding machinery, ensuring all equipment runs efficiently and safely to produce high-quality metal fixtures.
  • Autonomous Execution: Work independently with minimal supervision, taking full ownership of your workstation, troubleshooting minor issues, and consistently meeting daily production targets.
  • Precision Repetitive Production: Expertly execute high-volume, repetitive production runs with a sharp focus on detail, consistency, and maintaining quality standards over long cycles.
  • Operational Flexibility: Adaptation-ready professional who can seamlessly transition to other workstations or perform related duties to support changing plant and production demands.
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience, with a specialized focus in resistance/spot welding operations.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and weld symbols, with the ability to accurately utilize precision measurement tools.
  • Proven ability to consistently meet established production quotas and performance metrics within designated timeframes.
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision while maintaining a highly collaborative presence within a cross-functional team environment.
  • Demonstrated resilience and adaptability when operating in an evolving, high-volume, and deadline-driven production environment.
  • Possesses a strong work ethic characterized by exceptional dependability, keen attention to detail, and a proactive commitment to continuous learning.
  • Capable of executing high-volume, repetitive production cycles while maintaining strict adherence to quality and safety standards.
  • Physical capability to lift, push, or pull up to 25 lbs. continuously, and up to 75 lbs. occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodation and/or mechanical lifting assistance.
  • Physical stamina to sit, walk, and stand for extended durations throughout shifts lasting up to 10 hours.
  • Mandatory compliance with all safety protocols, including the continuous use of required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to perform essential job functions within an industrial plant environment subject to elevated noise levels and fluctuating temperatures.
Bonus Points:
  • Experience working within a metal fabrication or machine shop production environment.
  • Basic proficiency in alternative welding processes, specifically MIG (GMAW) and/or TIG (GTAW).
  • Basic computer literacy, including basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook) for production tracking and communication.
