Job summary

Technipaq, Inc. in Cary, IL is seeking a Slitter Machine Operator for 1st shift (7:00 am–3:30 pm, M-F) to support press, lamination, and pouch departments.

The position requires 2+ years of complex mechanical work or 1+ year as a machine operator, ability to read and measure with a ruler to 1/16 inch, and the stamina to stand for the full shift and lift up to 65 lbs. ISO experience and lamination/packaging background are a plus, but training is provided.

• Must be at least 18 and pass reading and ruler testing
• Able to measure with a standard ruler to 1/16 inch (pass ruler test)
• Stand for the full shift; lift up to 65 lbs; handle heavy rolls daily
• Able to squat, bend, crouch, and kneel; tolerate chemicals and odors
• ISO experience in manufacturing or light industrial environment preferred
• Lamination, packaging or pharmaceutical experience preferred but not required

Job description

Shift: 1st Shift (Cary Location) 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, M-F

Minimum Requirements:

• 2+ yrs doing any complex Mechanical (i.e. taking cars, machines apart, replacing engines or transmissions, etc). OR 1+ years of machine operator experience is required
• Must be at least 18 years of age and able to pass our reading and ruler testing
• Make and interpret measurements with a standard ruler to 1/16 of an inch (must pass a pre-employment ruler test)
• Ability to be on your feet and stand/walk for entire shift.
• Physically fit with no restrictions and the ability to lift up to 65 lbs; push, pull, maneuver very large rolls of materials weighing several hundred pounds with the use of equipment on a daily basis. Must be able to squat, bend, crouch, and kneel. Must be able to tolerate chemicals and occasional strong odors.
• Previous ISO experience in a manufacturing or light industrial environment preferred
• Previous lamination, packaging or pharmaceutical industry experience preferred but NOT required,
