Job summary

Novolex in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a Sheet Metal Operator for a Monday–Friday day shift (7:00 am–3:30 pm) with climate-controlled facilities. The role involves operating an NC laser, fabricating sheet metal to blueprints, and setting up equipment to meet specifications.

Pay starts at $28.94 per hour with increases to $30.88 over time; 3- and 6-month milestones are noted. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance; training and growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years sheet metal fabrication experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Operates NC Laser.
• Fabricates sheet metal products and equipment accordance to job orders, blueprints and/or schematic diagrams.
• Bends, cuts or alters various grades of sheet metal according to product being fabricated and knowledge of sheet metal.
• Sets up and operates shears, brakes, benders, rolls and t-drills.
• Inspects, assembles, and adjusts equipment to ensure conformance with specifications.
