The Machine Operator assists with the setup, calibration, and operation of machines used in production processes. This role inspects machine operations and finished products against specified tolerances using precision measuring tools and determines and corrects minor machine malfunctions.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Unloads parts, inspects for quality, and performs equipment setup.
• Operates various equipment to meet production and business needs.
• Maintains stock of materials and machine parts for equipment.
• Determines parts to be manufactured based on production orders and stock.
• Observes and maintains machine operation to detect defects or malfunctions.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 3+ years of previous machine operating experience or equivalent education and experience.
• Occasional travel may be required locally, nationally, or internationally.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook, and Internet applications.
• Basic analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management, and planning skills.
• Basic verbal and written communication skills, including analysis, interpretation, and reasoning.
• Understanding and application of mathematical concepts.
• Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships across the organization and with clients.
• Ability to work autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
• Ability to influence peers and management.
• Self-motivated with attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting.
• Mechanical aptitude; ability to use hand tools, power tools, forklifts, welding equipment, and cutting torch.
• Ability to work overtime as necessary.

PHYSICAL ASPECTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, and see.
• Regularly/occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
• Exposure to wet/humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes, extreme temperatures, electrical shocks, and chemicals.
• High noise levels in the work environment.
