Nidec Motor Corporation is seeking a skilled machinist to operate CNC and manual lathes, reading prints and setting up equipment to meet specifications. A high school diploma or GED is required, with apprenticeship or formal training and at least 5 years in the field preferred.
Responsibilities include daily PMs, safe operation, maintaining a clean work area and adhering to quality standards. Third shift in the United States may be required; teamwork and reliability are essential.
Sets up and operates a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. Reads and interprets blueprints and diagrams to select, position and secure machinery. Adjusts machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely fashion. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. May have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty with at least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a supervisor/manager.
