Job summary

Halliburton in Lafayette, LA is seeking an Experienced Machine Operator to set up and run a range of machine tools, including CNC lathes and mills, on night shift. You will work Monday-Thursday, 3:00PM–1:00AM, with overtime as needed.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and 2–3 years machining experience; familiarity with Mazak, Mori Seiki, and Weiler machines and G Code is preferred. Opportunities include Machine Operator and Senior Machine Operator with a broad benefits package.

Work Shift

(NIGHTS) Monday-Thursday, 3:00PM - 1:00AM.

Overtime may be required on Fridaydepending on workload and orderbook backlog.

Job Duties

• Under general supervision, sets up, adjusts, and operates a variety of machine tools which may include numerical control/computerized numeric control lathes, mills, drills, computerized numerical control/numerical control and /or manual machines.
• May be required to read blueprints, perform varying levels of shop mathematics associated with machining operations, and perform inspection procedures to verify work.
• May have a demonstrated expertise in a particular machining process or machine type or work on one single purpose machine which may involve multiple machining processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Skills typically acquired through 2-3 years related machining experience.
• Experience operating on Mazak, Mori Seiki, Weilers with 2-3 years of experience.
• Knowledge of CNC machining for Mazaks, Knowledge of G Code preferred.
