The role focuses on operating and maintaining saw equipment to cut materials per specifications, with a 2:30 PM–11:00 PM swing shift and a 10% shift differential. Ideal candidates have 2–4 years in manufacturing, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Ichor Systems, Inc. is seeking reliable and safety-focused Saw Machine Operators to join our manufacturing team. The Saw Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining saw equipment to cut raw materials according to specifications, ensuring quality, accuracy, and production efficiency. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a manufacturing environment, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced production setting.

Temporary Assignment: Temp-to-Hire opportunity with potential for permanent employment based on performance, attendance, and business needs.

Swing Shift - Monday through Friday 2:30pm - 11:00pm

Shift Differential – 10%

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate large-diameter (6")/small-diameter (1/8") vertical saw and other cutting equipment.
• Interpret work orders, blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine cutting requirements.
• Measure, mark, and cut materials to precise dimensions and tolerances.
• Verify material identification and ensure correct material usage.
• Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections to ensure product quality.
• Use measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and micrometers.
• Maintain production records and complete required documentation accurately.
• Monitor equipment performance and report maintenance needs or equipment malfunctions.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S and safety standards.
• Follow all company safety procedures, quality standards, and operating instructions.
• Assist with inventory movement and material handling as needed.
• Operate air and electric drivers, ultra sonic wash.
• Load and unload various types of cleaning equipment, miscellaneous assembly, inspecting, alcohol wiping, swabbing, nitrogen dry parts, leak check, LPC testing, bag and tag.

Qualifications

• 2 -4 years manufacturing or related work experience, semiconductor a plus
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Basic math skills and attention to detail
• Ability to recognize deviation from accepted practices
• Ability to operate a variety of machines
• Basic understanding of related mechanics, flow control elements and MRP concepts
• Visual acuity and manual dexterity
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs
• Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, may climb stairs and use ladders
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with noise, frequent interruptions and shifting priorities
• May sit and do work at a computer for some of the time

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience operating band saws, automatic saws, or metal-cutting equipment.
• Experience working with stainless steel, aluminum, or other metals.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and 5S principles.

For candidates in CA: The pay range for this position is $21.88 - $37.21 per hour, non-exempt. This position is classified as non-exempt and is eligible for overtime pay in accordance with applicable state and federal laws.
