Job summary

Afinitas, part of Barry-Wehmiller, is hiring a Machine Operator to join its Mediapolis, IA plant. You will startup and shut down machines, read prints, and setup/program saws for automatic cutting to meet Afinitas quality standards.

This position requires safe, productive operation in a manufacturing environment with PPE. Candidates should have strong communication and teamwork skills and be able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to shifting priorities.
• Ability to work individually as well as in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Startup and shut down machines as recommended by maintenance.
• Operate the machine in a manner to meet Afinitas quality standards.
• Operate the machine in a safe and productive manner.
• Perform required preventative maintenance.
• Read prints and complete miters meeting Afinitas standards.
• Setup and program saws for automatic cutting operations.
• All other duties as assigned.
