Job Summary:

The Rule Processor's primary responsibility is to cut straight and 90 degree knife for flat and rotary dies and to perform regular maintenance on the rule processing machines.

Duties & Responsibilities: Additional duties may be assigned

  • Select and process rule according to order specifications and quality standards
  • Identifying nonconforming material during inspection activities and follow up with supervisors
  • Maintain safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations
  • Make all necessary machine adjustments to ensure tolerances
  • Document actions by completing production, quality and maintenance logs
  • Document processing time on job cards
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:

  • High School graduate or GED Equivalent
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints
  • Ability to read a tape measure
  • Practical understanding of manufacturing, equipment and workflow
  • Minimal knowledge of power tool operation
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Ability to work independently

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand while working 8-10 hour shifts
  • Frequent walking back and forth between machines and storage room
  • Must be able to hear to listen to instructions
  • Frequent lifting/carrying of product (50+ pounds)
  • Ability to distinguish colors

Environmental Conditions:

  • Constant noise
  • High dust levels

This is high-speed, high pressure production work in a competitive manufacturing environment. Employee must be able to work under stress and pressure to meet customer deadlines. All employees are responsible for quality control and must meet production standards.
