Plastics Engineering Company in Wisconsin is seeking a full-time Resin Grinder and Packing Technician for the 4:00 PM–12:00 AM shift with a $1.15/hour premium. Base pay is $28.38 per hour, plus shift premium, and duties include grinding, packing, and ERP data entry.

Responsibilities include logs, staging materials, operating packing and cooling equipment, labeling and palletizing, and ensuring accurate material movement. Manufacturing experience and basic ERP entry are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience operating grinding equipment in manufacturing.
• Familiarity with ERP data entry via handheld devices.
• Manufacturing environment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate resin grinders and packing equipment as instructed.
• Pack resins into bags, drums, or totes and label containers.
• Set up and operate bulk packing and cooling equipment.
• Record product and material data in the ERP system.
• Maintain logs and staging areas for materials and finished goods.
• Assist with cleaning and tool/material re-supply as directed.
• Observe equipment performance and report anomalies.

Job description

SHIFT: 4:00PM-12:00AM

+$1.15/hour Shift Premium

Main Duties:

• Charges resin grinders with material according to Grinding Log instructions. Operates grinding equipment to convert solidified resin into powder for use in compounds or sale.
• Operates packing equipment to fill bags, drums, and other containers. Seals and labels containers as necessary. Operates flaker and belt cooler packing equipment to fill bulk bags, tubs, drums and other containers. Sets up bags or containers for filling. Packs liquid resins from tanks or kettles into totes or drums. Cleans filter when packing liquid resin if required. Palletizes containers and transports palletized material to storage area or shuttle trailer with lift truck.
• Observes operation of equipment such as grinders, dust collectors, blenders, shakers, vibrators, and packing units.
• Pulls finished resins into pans or buggies and onto metal floor for cooling, when required. Breaks up cooled resin on floor and reloads into tubs or drums. Stores resin in designated storage areas and correctly records locations.
• Performs servicing functions for Resin Grinding and Cooking, as directed. Supplies pallets of raw materials and resins as required on Resin Grinding or Kettle Logs. Maintains supply of chemicals, raw materials and supplies for staging at kettles as directed by Resin Grinding Supervisor. Obtains these items from storage areas throughout plant. Supplies drums and packing materials to packing stations as needed.
• Collects empty pallets and stacks in appropriate staging areas. Collects and properly disposes of scrap materials. Performs cleaning work as assigned by supervision.
• Enters required product and raw material information into ERP system using handheld device.
• $1.15/hour shift premium on the 4pm-12am shift
